Mein Kampf (meaning' my struggle' in German) is Adolf Hitler's autobiography. He wrote it while in prison and it is basically a collection of his political views and personal opinions (a glimpse into his depraved mind). It was very intriguing and yet at the same time frightening to imagine such hatred.

Yikes Frey, three! Hope all goes well! I've got two powerpoint presentations to do and I'm in the middle of reading Mein Kampf...so it might be another few days before I can write depressed
Luthien, right now I believe that Saith, Tristian, and Liam are in the mountains surrounding Ea while Aislinn is going back to her home, I think. Please correct me if I'm wrong sun

well if you do one of them choose this one, much better plot. but I think it would take two to four days to get to the sea through the mountains tristan is injured). so we will be camping, but moving every day. when we get to the sea we will make a more permanent camp in the bushes by the shore (so passing ships can't see us).

I agree about going to the sea. Though I was wondering if we were going to camp before Aislinn left or just keep going, just wondering
Hopefully I'll be able to post in both Roleplays soon...but I've been really busy lately so who knows ok

think of it a bit like the ring. There is no obvious difference, but subtle things. For instance you would feel a little faster, a little lighter etc. or for a fireling you would feel warmer and big fires would be easier to control.

I hope to post something today, but I wanted to answer you questions about if having the fire object would allow Aislinn's wings to retract.
I don't think it would, as the fire object would diminsh the powers of an Airbreather in the context of making it harder to fly and to use wind. The air object on the other hand probably would give Aislinn the power to retract her wings.
Oh, and after contemplating it, I don't think it is a good idea for Aislinn to have the whistle at this point in the story. cyclopes It might complicate things. ok

P.S. How soon would holding an elemental object affect someone? Right away or after, say, three hours or so? What do you think?

I don't have time to make a post right now....hopefully I will tomorrow. If anyone makes a post tonight, they can have Aislinn be near enough to hear when they make the plan to go to the sea. Thus making it easier for her to find them later on.

Aiya, I think after Aislinn departs we should head for the sea (obviously, given my last post). I think it would be a good place to arm up and start a plan. (hopefully Aislinn will find us before this but if she doesn't then we'll have to make something up when we get there).

hehehe, no your thought is perfectly coherent. Fair point about not bringing the wind whistle, but keep in mind that you will eventually have to sneak out of Ea. I didn't want to say this so as not to spoil anything, but if you take the whistle your fire powers may be diminished some >.> of course you won't know why for a long time.

Great idea about Yedda stopping and helping you. As an afterthought would possessing the fire object allow your wings to retract?

also while you are in Ea, Liam and Saith will assume that you won't be returning and with therefore attempt to go towards the sea (while hiding in the mountains to avoid patrols). This means that upon returning you will have to find them in the wild, I am not yet sure how you would do that, maybe spy wings again?

I don't think that the whistle is nonsensical for Aislinn to have. It was just that my plan for Aislinn was that she would fly/walk back to Ea. There she would find out that Firelings had won the battle and found the Princess Ember unconscious. She would then learn that Ember had been sent to Aislinn's home and Aislinn would get Fleta (the horse) and go home. To be stopped just in time by Yedda from making a public entry. From there Aislinn would try to see the queen alone to explain and accidently listen to a conversation between Edolie and the not-so unconscious Ember. Aislinn would be in her own house with Yedda to help her hide.
Foremostly, though I'm sure having a wind whistle would be nice, I didn't understand WHY Liam would give her the whistle as once awake she would explain that she is the daughter of a Fireling duke and she would be going home after going to Ea. Whereas Liam and the Waterlings might need the whistle more urgently to hide from patrols. That was just my take on things.

About how the objects of fire and wind would affect Aislinn, I think that probably when she is holding, say, the fire object her Fireling powers would be heightened and her Airbreather powers dimenished. So, when holding the fire object, it would be harder for her to fly and easier for her to use fire with increased power. And, when holding the wind object, it would be harder for her to use fire and easier for her to fly very fast and to sing up very powerful winds. Just a thought.... and not a very coherent one at that. ok
