Boromir/Aragorn
Well for one thing, I think that Boromir would have accepted Aragorn's claim to the throne of Gondor eventually, and probably would have become King Elessar's right-hand man--maybe he would have been put in charge of Osgiliath, since there would no longer be a need for the office of Steward.... more

Going to start reading the LOTR series again...
I've read the trilogy so many times that I should have it memorized. I think it's time to read it again. Don't feel too bad about the difficulty in reading The Silmarillion, Arwen. The parts concerning the earlier elves (Feanor, et al) and the Numenoreans and everyone else in the first and second ages were kind of confusing, but it all started to become clear during the third or fourth reading. I had most trouble with some of the Elvish names, because I couldn't remember who was who. Stick with it, tho...... more

What are some possible Titles for the two Hobbit films?
in that case, BB, I'm doubly glad that I left Idea B out of my post. ;-) BTW, was the Arkenstone mentioned early enough in The Hobbit to have the first film named after it? I don't recall Thorin talking about it until petty late in the story. Could be wrong out this. I'll have to do some reaearch here.... more

I have two ideas, both are lousy. :-) Idea A: first film--"The Hobbit, part one (There...)" second film--"The Hobbit, part two (...and Back Again)" Idea B is so lame that I'm not going to bother posting it.... more

Hugo Weaving to Return for The Hobbit
Has anybody heard whether or not Cate Blanchett has agreed to play Galadriel? She was so good in the trilogy that it'd be a shame if she's not coming back. I also hope that Christopher Lee has a change of heart. Last I read, he said that he'd like to have a part in "The Hobbit," but he doesn't want to return to New Zealand for filming because that would be an ordeal, at his age.... more

Hi, Arwen-- Another alternative would be to make up a fake age and location. That's what I've been doing since the onset of identity theft. Plus, I got tired of people always saying "You're HOW old?" :-)... more

    Used to work at Pathmark when it was on the corner of Sunrise and Straight Path.
    Thinking of putting together a Middle Earth Retreat in my 12 acre back yard above the 1/2 acre pond. An in ground Hobbit house with pygmy donkeys and other miniatures.
