Well! Series 8 of "Spooks" is just about to air in the UK so we'll get some nice RA time again at last! He is currently in South Africa filming "Strike Back" where he's been described by the film makers on their Twitter Page as looking "very heroic" in the main role...!!! Goody!! "Their captain was Bard, grim-voiced and grim-faced"...I think this picture illustrates at least the "grim-faced" bit, and anyone who has heard that beautiful, expressive voice MUST agree that he could so easily do the "grim-voiced" bit as well!! I like Christopher Ecclestone and I think he made a GREAT Dr Who, but that was because of his quirky looks...quirky doesn't quite cut it for Bard...... more

I'm with you Dalgonar...really think a bit of stubble only is pretty sexy...I never imagined any of the Tolkien heroes with a beard and I can't remember anywhere where beards are described...but in any case I want Richard to be Bard regardless...put a beard on him, I don't care!! You really need to look at the entire video (if you can find it!) that these screen caps come from...The extended scene from Robin Hood Series 3 will blow you away, and any doubt anyone ever had in reference to Richard being a magnificent Bard will be completely dispelled!!... more
