I have just read that the first of the two films is the Hobbit the second is going to be alot of new material (this I find a little scary) perhaps they are taking it right up to Bilbo's birthday??

Oh well, I've only heard what I've read here in the blogs. Untill last week, I didn't even know there was a Hobbit movie coming out! Needless to say I"m all worked up about it...at least until the reality set in as to how long it will be before it comes out....2011. That seem sooooo far away. So, I'm gonna brush up on some Salimarillion reading.

I would think only bag End could be of use, I guess I an right out of the loop regarding filming, what have you heard?

That's a good point about Bag End. I wonder if there are any structures left from LOTR, and if so, will they be used in the Hobbit? Really, why not film it there (in New Zealand)??

Hey you may be right! it quite possible Hobbit is not being made here, quite presumptuous of me to think so, but that would prob describe the whole of NZ's train of thought! Considering the frontage of Bag End is still there.....

yes! Living in Wellington sure did have it's benefits, getting peeks at helms deep had to be highlight but don't like my chances with The Hobbit I think this will be filmed in more remote area's, Hi Troy!
