Who should sing the song for the soundtrack

if you look at who did the songs for the LOTR movies, they all fit the tone. enya was great as a wistful, dreamy singer, emiliana torrini was amazing at portraying sadness, and annie lennox excelled w/ her song of hope and closure. GDT and jackson both said the hobbit films will be more lighthearted at first and then taking on the depressive atmosphere of LOTR towards the end. so, i think we need a more light-hearted singer, not like regina spektor cuz she did the song for prince caspian, but similar. no...... more

The Wargs Redesigned

i see where you're coming from, jeff, there are no hyenas in europe, but just look at jackson's Rohan. it looks like africa. he wanted his Wargs to look like they fit the terrain he was filmming and that part of new zealand in which Rohan was filmed looked african. jackson wanted continuity on screen as much as he wanted continuity w/ the books. generic wolves would have looked out of place in jackson's Rohan.... more

The Wargs Redesigned

i think it's perfectly normal for the wargs to be redesigned. peter jackson gave the wargs a hyena-like appearance in LOTR because we saw them in the foothills and the plains of Rohan. the wargs we will see in the Hobbit are not close in geography or climate/terrain/etc and should be different. the Wargs in the Hobbit should be wolfier..... when was the last time you saw a hyena in the forest? to me it makes perfect sense.... more

how about the guy from ghost town? he was also the annoyed boss in night at the museum. i love his humor and i think he could do the complaining/bumbling part of bilbo's character perfectly.... more

danny trejo for smaug...... perfection and vincent regan as the bard michael sheen and ben foster would be great, don't know for what exactly jason isaacs - thranduil jonathan rhys-myers - glorfindel i like the idea of a black beorn, getting some diversity in there like ving rhames (he could do smaug too) if not, ian mcshane would be neat i haven't heard a better idea than martin freeman for bilbo and i'm having trouble thinking of dwarfs that we haven't seen a million times before in similar roles (ie g...... more
